Festival Amid Pandemic

Ganpati Bappa Morya!!

Mangal Murti Morya!!

This is how we welcome our beloved Bappa home every year. What with the sounds of dhol-tasha pathaks and chantings, its quite a big celebration. But this year, its not the same .The pandemic has worsened, which led to silent celebrations this year. Travelling is risky, social distancing is important. Still, all of us tried our best to welcome Bappa in a blissful way.Not everything sounds the same. Ganpati celebrations used to be the most pompous celebration of the year. But, this year, all we gotta say is

"Wait a second, let me catch my breath ;

Remind me how it feels to hear your voice"

 Nevertheless, looking at the bright side we got so much time for ourselves due to this lockdown amid pandemic. Besides, we got to spend more time with our family, discover our hobbies and nurture them. This year, countless people  built Ganpati idol at home. Each family member took part wholeheartedly in the Ganpati decoration and celebrations. Ironically ,this year everyone reconnected with their dear ones. And that's what a Festival is all about. Though we may not be able to roam and see "Ganpati che dekhawe" ,we will be spending all the time with our loved ones, admiring our own Bappa. The internet services and apps like WhatsApp and WebEx helped us connecting with our distanced relatives and friends. Thereupon, let's hope, Vighnaharta knocks down this deadly pandemic and help us adjust to the new normal.
